Huntington Lake has several resorts and marinas which tend to boaters' needs from fuel and overnight slips to rentals and launch ramps. There is also a public launch ramp between College and Deer Creek campgrounds. A small fee is charged for launching and parking with a trailer.

Huntington Lake Sailing
Steady afternoon winds make Huntington Lake a popular destination for sailors. Because of the lake's east-west orientation and the low opening on the western end, westerly winds generally pick up about mid-morning in the summer and continue until late afternoon. The strongest gusts are usually encountered at the east end of the lake.
The Fresno Yacht Club
The Fresno Yacht Club's main sailing venues are Huntington Lake and Millerton Lake. Races are held at Huntington Lake during the summer.
