Boating

Shaver Lake is a great boating lake for everyone from wakeboarders to sailors. Two Boat ramps offer quick access to the lake and acres of open water provide room for skiers, anglers, and personal watercraft. Boat rentals are available at a variety of places with a wide range of craft from which to choose.

Marinas

Shaver Lake has two large marinas, ample support for a lake of this size. Marine repairs are available as well as fuel and supplies. Boat rentals are offered at both establishments and other places by the lake.

Fishing

Shaver Lake supports 16 different species of fish. Anglers most often head to the lake in search of Kokanee salmon, trout, bass, bluegill, crappie, and catfish.

Campgrounds

Shaver Lake's Camp Edison is among the best in California. Its lakeside campsites offer electricity and cable TV along with a host of family activities, all at moderate prices. The Forest Service also has a campground at the lake, along with several others nearby.

Lodging

Shaver Lake has several opportunities for lodging, most of them cabins. Some are simple one or two-bedroom cabins, others are larger vacation homes. Nearby Huntington Lake has a half dozen resorts with more choices for lodging.

Surrounded by the pine forests and mountains, Shaver Lake is among the most scenic of California's popular recreation lakes.
